Arborist Reports assess the health and value of trees on residential and commercial properties. Tree appraisals assign dollar values to their assessment so property owners know monetary value if it were damaged or destroyed by events such as storms, development projects, construction equipment accidents etc... A qualified Urban Forester must complete an appraisal before an insurance agent, municipal office, etc will accept it. There are several components considered when calculated a tree appraisal.
Value of a tree- The first question is to ask: what's the condition of the tree? Is it healthy or unhealthy?
• Location - This can affect price. For example, trees near power lines are more likely to be removed than those that aren't due to risk.
• Condition - Tree health will also determine value with different conditions determining different values, such as dead/alive, structural integrity, presence of insect infestation, etc.
• Age- Some older trees may have historical value in addition to typical value.
The Arborist report should be easy to read and provide a written appraisal of the tree.
They are comprehensive, containing a detailed tree description, as well as analysis for many individual attributes such as height, width, live crown ratio, canopy spread, deciduous status and more.
They can be used again and again. Having a Tree Appraisal will save you time in future transactions because this document gives confidence that they're getting what they expect plus it includes all the information about your trees
